Cybersecurity is the protection of computer systems and networks from information disclosure, theft or damages to hardware's, software's, or electronic data's.

Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly significant due to the increased reliance on computer systems, internet and wireless networks standards such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and due to the growth of ”smart” devices, including smartphones, television, and the various devices that constitutes the “internet of things”. Owing to its complexity, both in terms of politics and technology, cybersecurity is also one of the major challenges in the contemporary world.

Computers have transformed throughout the years, so was cyber crimes. So it's good to have knowledge about cybersecurity even though you are not from an IT background.
